MEX Notes: Why Does Interaction Design Matter?
- Source article: Why Does Interaction Design Matter?
- MEX note: Robert Fabricant, MEX alumnus and one of the leaders at Frog Design, wrote this article for FastCode on the importance of interaction design. It has a particularly interesting focus on swipe card transactions, looking at the New York subway system, from tokens (remember those?) to Metro card, as well as the evolution of payment terminals. These kind of super local interactions will become increasingly important in the mobile user experience as more mobile devices are used to drive transactions within users’ reachable radius. This will be at the heart of a Pathway theme for the next MEX. Fabricant’s article is a highly recommended read.
