Video interview: Immersion, haptics and the tactile experience

Terence Warmbier, Director of Business Development for Immersion Corporation, talks to Marek Pawlowski, founder of the MEX Conference, about touchscreens, haptics, tactile experience, emotional design and the user experience.

This video relates to MEX Manifesto No. 2, entitled ‘Achieving great tactile experience is a subtle art‘. It will be the subject of an in-depth exploration at the MEX Conference on 19th and 20th May in London. The session starts with a keynote presentation from tactile experience expert Christophe Ramstein, CTO of Immersion.

His talk will be followed by an interactive workshop, where 100 of the mobile industry’s most creative thinkers will be challenged to think differently about all aspects of the tactile user experience, utilising a variety of stimulus materials to address a series of challenges in small breakout teams.

Join us at MEX to help the mobile industry set the user experience agenda for the next 12 months. Delegate passes are priced at GBP 1499. MEX sells out in advance each year, so please register as soon as possible to guarantee your seat.

Congratulations Marek. Very interesting interview. It’ll be great to see how through haptics development will be built an emotional environment for the user. As Mr Warmbier saids there are no boundaries
