Stat Spot: Fines issued for using mobile at the wheel in New York

The New York Police Department issued nearly 200,000 tickets for improper use of a mobile phone while during 2008. The NYPD has occasional crackdowns and on Thursday, 29th November 2009, issued 7,529 in a single day. Source: IntoMobile
