The MEX Mobile User Experience Awards (19th May, London) are the premier awards for the mobile user experience community. What does winning a MEX Mobile User Experience Award mean?

“The MEX Awards were a great experience right through: the encouragement to participate; the lively feedback from the online community; the very hip award party – all made being a part of the process both thought-provoking and fun. Winning the MEX Award in 2008 has brought with it the opportunity to meet and build relationships with true leaders in user experience thought and design, and the prestige of being associated with the mobile industy’s thinkers and trailblazers.”

— Sarah Lipman, CEO of Power2B, winner of the Professional category in 2008 with ‘My Link‘.

“All of us have great ideas but there are many who lack a platform to showcase these ideas to the world. The MEX Awards symbolises encouragement and confidence for an individual who has an idea. Winning the 2008 MEX Award gave me that encouragement and boosted my confidence in pursuing my own ideas. Being judged by industry leaders and experts, it also reinforced the marketability and potential viability of my concept.”

— Gaurabh Mathure, founder of Desolve, winner of the Freelance category in 2008 with ‘Cloudaware‘.

“Winning the commercial category award at the MEX Awards helped us raise the profile of Taptu search amongst a whole new group of mobile opinion leaders.”

— Steve Ives, CEO of Taptu, winner of the Commercial category in 2008 with ‘Taptu Mobile Search Experience‘.

“The MEX Awards gave me the chance to be creative, be seen by industry experts and lead to my employment after graduating.”

— Chris Browne, winner of the Student category in 2008 with ‘MyView‘.
