The user Swiftcover has so far been organically promoted and initially targeted the UK market but the application turned out to have a global appeal and is now being used in over fifty countries across five continents. Other social media pages namely Facebook have been one of the key drivers for Stuck’s continuing global appeal. Stuck currently has over 50000 fans on Facebook which is the highest number for any single application in the world. The experience Stuck is a new, free, and multi-platform social networking application that asks users around the world to describe when, why and where they are stuck. Users can view and post ‘stuck messages’ in real-time in precise geographic locations plotted on a 3D globe. The globe can be zoomed to the nearest street level. Using geo-mapping to pin-point a location and a set of stuck categories such as: stuck in your head, stuck on a journey, stuck in your thoughts, song stuck in your head, stuck with whom to vote for et cetera, anyone can view, contribute and share places and situations where they are stuck, in real-time. Stuck is currently available on the Apple iPhone and iPad, allowing you to share Stuck messages further via email and/or Twitter. In addition, the application has a huge following on other online communities, including Facebook, with over 50,000 fans. The application has also had some great independent reviews: http://econsultancy.com/blog/5433-stuck-iphone-app-review http://www.socialtimes.com/2010/03/stuck-iphone-app/ http://www.swiftcover.com/stuck-iphone-app/ – Vimeo video link for Stuck on the iPhone: http://vimeo.com/11135091 Vimeo video link for Stuck on the iPad: http://vimeo.com/11133045 iTunes store link for Stuck on the iPhone: http://itunes.apple.com/gb/app/stuck/id351658914?mt=8 iTunes store link for Stuck on the iPad: http://itunes.apple.com/gb/app/stuck-for-ipad/id365103485?mt=8 View

I loved the globe on this. A fun app.
Brilliant app… loved the interface. More interesting than twitter
Unique and intuitive design, excellent!
I just discovered this app because I saw it on this site and I have to say I really like it, definitely staying on my iPhone
Stuck is unique and am surprised with huge no of userbase. Brilliant idea.
its nice, not sure it’d be the new twitter. The things posted on there are a subset of what’s posted on twitter.. So its a specialised sort of twitter for people who are “stuck”
I did actually use this when I was stuck in Geneva airport. Everytime you click near me you are bound to find someone stuck around you. Its a great idea with huge potential.
It also featured on BBC News Click recently.

200+ votes in the last 20 mins… this must be a really good app for iPhone…..
its ok. not the best application in the world, but if its about design innovation then I suppose this fits the bill
I also downloaded it after a recommendation from the BBC… not sure about the colours, apart from that it works well – 4*
50,000 fans on facebook, how did they manage that?????????
is there a link to a video of this app being used? I wanna see what all this hype is about, and the BBC link doesn’t work for me (I’m not in the UK)
its an ok app.. Posting “stucks” is pretty smooth
I love it!
Shame it didnt make the shortlist.
