The user The Starbucks seedpod has been designed for any on the go environmentally aware person who wishes to give something back to the community in which they live. The experience Starbucks in 2025 will be at the forefront of community interaction. With people becoming divided in society, the Seedpod is a tool that allows for ‘on-the-go’ gardening and the cultivation of community friendship. In an age when technology has isolated people and separated us from nature, Starbucks is at the forefront of re-establishing and nurturing communication in society by encouraging us out of our homes and back into nature. The product gives us another dimension when venturing outside, to plant seeds in ignored corners of our landscape, to tell others of our efforts and to monitor the growth of new plants, thereby fostering a sense of well being in the community. The Seedpod allows its user to quickly plant a “Seed bomb” in any area and relay their activity to fellow gardeners via the base when arriving home. New seedlings can then be checked on and watered when needed. Seeing an area of previously neglected ground spring into life promotes wellbeing not just to the gardeners, but to the community at large who will grow together whilst watching their plants flourish.
