The user With the rise in working households busy parents are sometimes only too aware of the limited time they can spend with their children. Weakened by passive entertainment at home and distractions from work this quality of time spent is influenced by the technology we have around us. However how can we use that technology to the advantage? Jackie is a single mum to her daughter Laura age 3 she is an highly paid Sales Executive living in London with a salary to look after them both and pay for preschool during that Laura attends each day. Jackie would like to play more with Laura at the weekends and often asks how her day was at preschool when she comes home though is often too tied up with cleaning and cooking to play many games but does so at weekends. An avid social networker she also blogs and posts pictures of the two of them to her friends and family around the country. The experience PlayPal presents a generation of toy that uses technology to encourage social and emotional development by promoting human-human interaction rather than replacing it. Reducing steps needed to capture emotive and spontaneous activities, PlayPal enables families to monitor the benefits of time spent together. While at work Jackie can now have photos captured by the camera toy to the frame back home and her blogg and cloud networks to view at work. Once home Jackie can set aside some time each day to sit on the sofa together. Laura who is highly verbal, loves to swipe through the photos telling her mom the story of the day, or activities shed like to do at the weekend. Laura and Jackie then ‘Star’ the photos they like and agree to send them to Nan, Grandad, and Close Friend Sharn before bed. Facebook editorial every 5 photos is a live update and shows Jackie, who takes the frame to work now, what other mothers in her area or friends list have been up to. Another mother from the daycare blogg is shown to be having a great activity with paint, and Jackie hits the reminder to show this to her at the weekend. On Saturday the frame reminds Jackie, and quickly picking up the monkey, attaching him the door handle, and setting the timer to take a picture when they shout the loudest. Jackie and Laura now have 3 pictures they like of when they were laughing and painting. Now just to choose who to send it too?? View

This looks a brilliant idea for busy parents and makes the most of up to the minute technology to enhance rather than to replace vital parent-child time. Wonderful idea!
