State of mobile retailing

Echo Chamber is a great resource for tracking the most innovative concepts in mobile phone retailing. They have a team which reviews and photographs retail locations across the world and post the results on their site. Registration is free and if you hunt around in any of the sections, you’ll find reviews of stores by Vodafone, Sony Ericsson, Carphone Warehouse, Orange, Samsung and others.

Particular highlights include a look at Orange’s 201 concept store in Notting Hill, which eschews corporate branding in favour on a ‘no logo’ boutique gallery – apparently sales have been four times higher than at other Orange stores.

Cliff Crosbie, Global Director of Retail Marketing for Nokia, is speaking at our MEX conference in London on 2nd – 3rd May 2007.
