MEX goes mobile with bemoko
For this year’s MEX Conference we wanted to provide a great user experience for attendees browsing the agenda on their mobile handsets. As anyone who has been to MEX before will tell you, there is a lot of movement – people don’t just sit in a conference room all day listening to presentations. There are many different breakout sessions and networking zones, so keeping track of where you need to be and when can be a challenge.
We decided to work with bemoko to create a mobile version of the MEX agenda and they’ve really excelled themselves. Not only have they built an easy-to-use site optimised for any handset, they’ve also added a survey capability so we can get some insight into how the 100 leading thinkers at MEX view certain issues and a Twitter feed so everyone can see the buzz on #mex09.
Mat Diss, Director at bemoko, told us what the project meant for them: “User experience is paramount for consumers to get the best out of the web on their phones – a fact that is always at the front of our minds when we, at bemoko, are creating mobile web sites. We are proud to be associated with MEX, a conference that leads the way in the debate on user experience, driving new thinking and setting the scene for the future of the mobile user experience.”
It’s been a pleasure working with bemoko on this and we’ve already had some great feedback on the site from the beta testers. I recommend talking to them if you’re looking to develop a site for mobile.
To get the MEX mobile site on your phone, visit mex.bemoko.com from your handset’s browser. In the UK you can also text ‘mobi’ to 81025 and we’ll send you an SMS quick link. Texts are charged at the standard network rate.
Please send me an email to let me know what you think of the site.
