MEX Inspirations for 4th November 2009
| Topsee | The new Topsee application from 2009 MEX Award winners Lastminute.com Labs offers a new take on the ‘what’s near me, what’s cool’ concept found in some many location-based discovery tools. Maps and lists are abandoned in favour of a collection of floating photographs, showing imagery of the top experiences near your location. We’re fundamentally a visual species and this seems like a much more natural way of using digital technology to enhance your interactions with the physical environment. It will be out on iPhone by the end of 2009 according to Lastminute.com, but in the mean time you can check out this slightly odd demonstration video. |
