More on the contextual user environment
As a follow-up to Mike Short’s article about the importance of understanding the contextual user environment (CUE), there was an interesting announcement today from Renault and Bluetooth accessories supplier Parrot. The car manufacturer will install Parrot’s Bluetooth handsfree technology as standard, starting with its Megane model. This will enable users to view call information on the vehicle dashboard and integrate telephony functions directly into the technology systems of the car. Many manufacturers have offered this as an option, but Renault is among the first to commit to doing it as standard across its range.
