Meet the speakers: Andy Tiller

Dr Andy Tiller leads the development of Cognima‘s seamless replication technology. The company’s SNAP platform maintains an automated link between data such as photos or contacts on a user’s handset and an online information store. This has a wide range of potential applications, but Cognima’s current focus is on enabling mobile photo albums: capture a photo and, almost instantaneously and without any user intervention, it is replicated over-the-air from the handset to an online album.

Andy told us: “My job is to make sure Cognima builds the right products, and to tell the world what our technology can do. We create an effortless mobile user experience.”

Prior to Cognima, Andy was VP of Product Marketing at billing sytems specialist Convergys EMEA, working extensively with the operator community.

His doctorate is a PhD in Theoretical Chemistry from Cambridge University and before his career in telecoms, Andy spent time at ICI as a Research Scientist involved in molecular modelling.
