Robert Fabricant spoke at MEX in May 2009 about how mobile user experiences goes far beyond digital interfaces and should be understood in the wider context of the services it drives. He was responding to what was at the time MEX Manifesto No. 6, challenging the industry to think about the services required by the billion people – mainly in emerging markets – who were connecting to digital experiences for the first time through a mobile device. He went on to talk about his work in this area on a pioneering healthcare scheme which used mobile technology.
