Brad Rees, Managing Director of Mediacells, will give the keynote presentation in the session entitled: “Media opportunities, MVNO partnerships and alternative business models,” on Day Two of the PMN Mobile User Experience conference.
Mediacells provides mobile media metrics to a range of clients in the telecoms and media sectors.
Brad started his career as a Reuters journalist before working on national
newspaper titles for United News and Media as a news and entertainment reporter in the 90s. It was in the context of newspaper publishing that he became focused on the new media customer experience and was the pioneer of Express Newspaper titles online during the dotcom boom.
After the dotcom bubble burst in 2000 Brad went on to develop T-Mobile’s
multimedia messaging networks from a customer experience perspective and
was responsible for the commercial launch of the first MMS offering in the
UK in June 2002.
Brad was a senior media propositions manager at T-Mobile International
before founding Mediacells and is a regular contributor to the Guardian
newspaper and What Mobile magazine.
The session on 7th September 2005 examines the growing influence of media companies in the mobile value chain and the opportunities for them to interact with their customers through mobile technology. It will be chaired by Nigel Walley, Managing Director of consultancy firm Decipher. In addition to Nigel, Brad will be joined by Pamir Gelenbe, co-founder and Corporate Development Director at Flytxt, Steven Trew, Head of Mobile at FT.com, and Mike Kent, Vice President, EMEA, at Action Engine.
