Meet the speakers: David Woollands
David Woollands is a senior manager with T-Mobile International’s Consumer Marketing business responsible for the development and marketing of voice and data products and services on a European basis.
David has been extensively involved in the launch of new services for T-Mobile over the last 3 years where the design of the user interface has been critical to the success of the service. This included Screen Styles, when T-Mobile was among the first operators to launch downloadable UI technology from Trigenix (now part of Qualcomm). David also worked with Macromedia to develop News Express, the first push-based news service in Europe based on Flash Lite and a key ‘proof of concept’ for vector-based images in mobile application development.
Prior to joining T-Mobile in 2002, David served as the strategic alliance and business development manager of Motorola’s mobile internet solutions group supporting the commercialisation and deployment of a multi-player mobile games platform and content to operator customers.
David will speak on the Day Two panel at MEX entitled: “Delivering mobile services and building customer trust,” where he will be joined by Ray Anderson (CEO of Bango), Sarah McVittie (CEO of Re5ult), Matt Hooper (Vice President, Marketing & Strategic Alliances, Elata), Mikko Rontynen (Technology Platforms Manager at Nokia) and Scott Weiss (Principal of Usable Products Company). The session is chaired by Mike Grenville, Chairman of 160characters.org.
