Blackberry branches out for consumers

RIM has announced the first Blackberry device aimed at the consumer market, offering a digital camera, media player and trackball navigation device. Of course, the main feature remains the Blackberry email service, which will enable operators which have invested in the RIM architecture to extend messaging services to customers outside the business market. New devices from HTC

HTC is continuing to expand its range of handsets as it strives to establish a brand image for itself after several years of producing ‘white label’ devices for operators. It has announced four new products, including a slimline messaging device, GPS-enabled navigator, PDA and smartphone. All use Windows Mobile. Download the release here.
