Get ready for the 2009 MEX Mobile User Experience Awards – opening soon!
The 2009 MEX Mobile User Experience Awards will be opening very soon. We’ll be announcing this to all newsletter readers and everyone who has pre-registered for information as soon as we’re ready to accept entries.
The MEX Awards challenge designers, students and companies to showcase original, cutting edge mobile user experience concepts. Each entry requires two parts: firstly, you must tell us who you have designed the product for; the second part is describing the product or service itself, using your design skills to illustrate the experience through a storyboard, screenshots or video.
The MEX Awards are all about the importance of designing for user needs and the panel of independent judges will be looking for entries which clearly provide a great experience for their intended audience and represent genuinely new ideas.
All of the entries are showcased in the MEX Awards on-line gallery (with interactive voting and commenting!), providing a great platform for promoting your innovation to the industry’s leading executives.
The highlight of the Awards is the evening party on the first night of the 2009 MEX Mobile User Experience conference (19th May), when Awards will be presented across 5 categories: Student, Freelance, Professional, Commercial and Innovator of the Year. It is a big occasion for the mobile user experience industry, with over 100 of the leading players gathered in London for a night of networking, great food and a few surprises.
The Awards were also covered last year by Reuters TV.
You can check out the 2008 winning entries on the MEX web-site.
The Title sponsor for the 2009 MEX Mobile User Experience Awards is Nuance and the Platinum sponsor is Immersion Corporation.
