Stat Spot: Amazon’s $300m UI change
$300m | Amazon boosted sales by USD 300m when it changed a UI button from ‘Register’ to ‘Continue’ in its checkout process. User experience expert Jared Spool realised new users didn’t like the idea of having to form a relationship with the retailer to complete their purchase and, after making the button change and adding a re-assuring note which let customers know they could just make their purchase without registering, saw a 45% increase in customer completions.
